On Sunday 6th November at Sandown Golf Club, George Foreman (Golf Team Manager) announced the Golf Team who will be representing TeamIOW in Guernsey next July. 

Mens Team

Ben Guy who is the current Island Champion. This will be Guy’s first Island Games. 

Chris Hayward who has had a fantastic year to gain his spot and will be competing in his first Island Games. 

Darren Masterton continues to be one of the Island’s best golfers and will be competing in his fifth Games. 

Nat Riddett who is currently the Island’s number 1 ranked golfer and will get to compete in his second games. 

Ladies Team

Dawn Hodge a team silver medalist from Gotland and will be competing in her third games 

Lucy Burke is also a team silver medalist from Gotland and will be competing in her third games 

Sophie Beardsall ladies Golf island games LEGEND. Sophie will be competing in her ninth games, a silver medalist from Gotland and a winner of 9 medals. 

Catherine Bachelor is the fourth member of the ladies team and will be competing in her first games 

George went on to thank Brian Price and Kate Palfrey, for their support in helping out with fundraising and selecting the team. He also thanked Jackie Mouat for her support and finally to Wayne Mathews from Yokogawa Marex Ltd for sponsoring the team.
