Team Isle of Wight Receives Team Kit at Presentation Evening Ahead of Guernsey 2023
In preparation for the upcoming Guernsey 2023 Island Games, Team Isle of Wight was thrilled to receive their team kit at a special presentation evening this week. With 212 athletes set to compete across 12 sports, the team is eager to showcase their skills and bring glory to the Island.
Once again, the team kit was generously sponsored by ICRTouch, a steadfast supporter of the Island Games Association. Colin and his team’s continued partnership ensures that the athletes are equipped with the best possible gear for their competitions. The Island Games Association expressed their gratitude for ICRTouch’s ongoing commitment to providing top-notch kit for the team.
A special mention was made for Neil and Karen at The Big Wight T-Shirt Co for their outstanding work in designing and producing the impressive kit. Their dedication and creativity have contributed to the creation of a remarkable uniform that embodies the spirit of Team Isle of Wight.
During the presentation evening, the Chair of the Island Games Association had the honour of inviting The Lord Lieutenant to present mementos to several key sponsors who played a crucial role in keeping the cost per athlete attending the games to a minimum. All sponsors’ support haave been instrumental in ensuring that as many athletes as possible can participate in this prestigious event.
Among those recognised for their contributions were Elizabeth Riddett, the wife of the late Terry Riddett. Terry was a stalwart of the Island Games Association, dedicating an immense amount of time to ensuring the continued success of the event. The presentation served as a tribute to his unwavering commitment and passion for the Island Games.
Additionally, Martin Goodall, previous Chair of the IWIGA, received a special presentation for his remarkable efforts in overseeing and managing all aspects of the team’s participation in the past three games. Goodall’s exceptional leadership and dedication have been instrumental in shaping the Association’s success, and without his contributions, the organisation would not be where it is today.
As the athletes don their new team kit, they are filled with a sense of pride and determination. With the support of sponsors like ICRTouch, Neil and Karen at The Big Wight T-Shirt Co, and the contributions of all sponsors acknowledged during the presentation evening, Team Isle of Wight is ready to showcase their skills and represent the Island with honour and passion at Guernsey 2023.
