Nathaniel Riddett runs the TSC London Marathon 2022

  • October 3, 2022
  • 8:08 am

Nathaniel Riddett took part in the 2022 TCS London on Sunday after securing the Island Games Charity place. Nat is the son of Terry Riddett, former golf manager and IWIGA team secretary who sadly lost his life in February this year. Inspired by his Father’s passion for the Games, Nat began his training schedule at the beginning of July and steadily increased his mileage, despite a few injuries along the way.

Pinning on his number  (15497) and with the support from his wife, Katy, as well as everyone on the Island, Nat joined 42,000 other athletes on the start line.

Running further than he’d ever run Nat turned into the final stretch leading to the finish line with a respectful time of 05.28.47.

Well done from all your Island Games Family.

Nat thanked the Island Games Association for giving him the opportunity to run the marathon, but said ‘he wouldn’t be looking to do another for a while as his body was broken’.

There is still time to donate on Nat’s charity page.
