Team IOW announces its Clay Pigeon shooting team

  • December 1, 2022
  • 3:46 pm

The qualifying selection process for the Team IOW Sporting & Sportrap team took place on a wet day at the Isle of Wight Gun Club.

With only three places up for grabs, the five shooters completed over seven shots each. In the end, it was experience that shone through – the three shooters that came out on top were those who qualified from previous games and successfully represented Team IOW at the Jersey Games back in 2015. Having won three silver medals back then, there’s high hopes for the team again in Guernsey next year.

Congratulations to Dan Bishop, Mark Downer and Lee Pitman on their successful selection. Together with the Women’s Team of Jennie Cartwright, Katie Bishop, Sarah Franklin and Glenn Fitch shooting Skeet, these three make up the Clay Shooting Team for Guernsey 2023.
